This pub had recently reopened when I was scanning the area prior to my visit, so I had planned to call in for a beer if they had any real ale on. The absence of any hand pumps on the bar and the puzzled look on the young barman's face when I put the question told me all I needed to know.

Really nice little pub serving real ales. Old style inside with what amounts to 3 rooms. A small beer yard is to the rear of the room to the right. Limited opening of a weekday whenever I've been in Mold. As its on the edge of the town centre it seems to get overlooked, even though its not really that far along the road, which is a shame as its a nice place. Friendly bar staff.
