Popular pub due to its location in the Trevor Marina Basin and a short stroll from the famous Pontcysystllte Aqueduct (I can spell it but don’t ask me to pronounce it).
A square multi roomed pub with a dining room annex and bar added onto the side along the multi benched outside drinking area. Two ale pumps were on the dining room bar with Doombar on one and fortunately a very good Castle Rock Blonde on the other.
On a fine weather lunchtime several people were utilising the outside tables for an alfresco pint, but a lot of people come here to eat and that included us. A banner on the wall of the dining room extension exclaimed that they were famous for their steak and ale pies so I took them at their word and went for it. Fortunately they lived up to the claim and it was substantial and tasty, warranting a second pint of the excellent Castle Rock Ale before the two hour stroll along the tow path to Llangollen.

Decent pub at the end of the famous aqueduct. Popular for meals due to the boat trips. I had a Llangollen bitter which was fine.

A pleasant pub at one end of the Pontycysstllle (or however you spell it) aqueduct, the other being The Aqueduct Inn on the other side. It's a multi-roomed pub with about 5 rooms. The bar is split between 2 rooms with 2 real ales available in the room to your right. These were Telford's Tipple by whoever and Llangollen Llangollen Bitter. As the previous reviewer said its by the canal basin so expect lots of Captain Pugwash's talking narrow boat and lots of tourists talking either Chinese or Japanese amongst other languages.

Pleasent pub next to the canal basen and a short walk from the aquduct.
Good fire burning and only down side the Real Ale was not available.
Food not cheap but big portions.
Ideal location to pick up a narrow boat.
Car Parking available although can get very busy in the simmer months.
