Friendly locals pub with a couple of rooms internally and a covered courtyard area to the rear. Decent pub for the sport this one as there are several screens dotted around including a fairly large one in the outside area.
Still an outlet for the local Llangollen brewery from what I could see and two hand pump on the small bar were badged with their products. Unfortunately the pump dispensing Llangollen Bitter was reversed leaving only Welsh Black bitter available, which was decent enough dark bitter, but at 5.5% not really a session ale, so it was one and off

A bit of a locals pub with no ales on sadly. I had a quick lager and moved on. Pool table, darts, live sport.

After a short closure and reports of an application to convert to flats, the Prince of Wales reopened today after a refurbishment.

Larger than it looks from the outside. Its a 3 roomed pub but only 2 of them have seating. The small front bar is where you will find 3 handpumps but only 2 were on, both serving Llangollen beers - Llangollen Bitter and Holy Grale(sic). The rear room is larger and a pool table is here. A rear beer yard is also to be found. Its a friendly enough place.

After a few months closure, the "Prince" is the 4th pub to be run by the local Llangollen Brewery. Llangollen beers plus guests on sale.

A small entrance bar area leads to a larger pool room at the back. The bar area is virtually taken over by the band on occasional music nights. Real Ales are the 'House Beer' brewed by Tetleys and one guest beer. (The guest beer is usally priced about 20 pence more than the house beer, even when it is weaker!) The pub opens evenings only.
