Colin Walker left this review about St Lawrence Inn

The local church, which is dedicated to St. Lawrence, has given the name to the former hotel, which now trades as a pub. The building was built 1846 about 2 years before the Royal Hotel across which now lies empty. The bar is very small considering the size of the interior, which is quite large with plenty of seating. There is also a smaller sized lounge. The pub has various football memorabilia about the walls. There are a few TV showing sports. There is also a beer garden. The pub is worth visiting even if it’s just to see the village with its memorial to the Boer war, as the main village appears to be from the 19th century. The main town of Falkirk is about 5 miles away and Airdrie about 9 miles. There is street parking available. http://www.falkirklocalhistorysociety.co.uk/home/?id=130
