The Barley Sheaf has a nice green glazed tile exterior around a central entrance that leads to what feels like a high street boozer. There are televisions throughout for live football and there’s a pool table at the rear. There’s a mix of furniture including standard tables and sofa seating. Premium and craft keg were both available and three of the four hand pumps were in use drawing Sharp’s Atlantic, Ghost Ship and Doom Bar. Unremarkable.

No longer exists under Riverbank name. It took over the Barley Sheaf, which was taken over by the Barley and Indian Restaurant according to a local. See review below.

Called in here while looking for something to eat early Saturday evening, and the outside signs said Sunny Spice at the Barley. We went in for a curry, and found there was a bar there with one real ale on, Wooden Hand Cornish Mutiny which we had with our meal. The front area was set as a normal pub with the main room set for dining, as was the conservatory area where we had our meal. When we finished I went to the bar and asked if it was a restaurant with a bar, or a bar with a restaurant, and the young lady behind the bar confirmed it was a bar with a restaurant. No problems with food or ale at all.
