Huge pub - but a wet evening in November was probably not the best time to visit.

Only two other punters.

Beer in decent condition.

We ordered food - wish we hadn't. The burger and chips were undercooked and when we took it back the barman (Giles?) started eating off the plate whilst arguing with us saying it wasn't raw. We said we didn't want the food especially as he had cut into the burger and ate some chips. He finally went off to the kitchen, came back saying they would cook another burger but it wasnt raw. Less than 5 minutes later another (?) burger arrived, equally raw, and the chips were full of oil. We understand that there can be problems with food but it was the rudeness of the barman that was out of order! We will never go back there again!

This is a great Inn and is very spacious and warming with a traditional olde worlde feel with modern standards. The accomodation is excellent and the three bars offer everything you could want and the cuisine is top quality. The Cornishman is well worth a visit and mein hosts Jeremy amd Rochelle will look after you well.

Three Bars, restaurant and accomodation.
Real fires in winter and a large beer garden.
