David Ross left this review about The Buddies Vintners

A sign outside proclaims that this sells the "Best Pint In Paisley." While the beer was of much the same standard as elsewhere, I would certainly regard it as one of the best pubs in town, which is well worth the walk out from the centre. My pint of Tennent's lager cost £3 and Stella Artois, Belhaven Best, Belhaven Export, Blackthorn cider and Guinness are also on draught. The interior is very attractive and quaint looking, with a small, narrow public bar and a bigger lounge to the side, accessed through a separate door. Both have lots of wood, with old photos of the town on the walls and an impressive gantry running between the two. The pub name refers to the fact that citizens of Paisley are known as "Buddies," which is also the nickname of the local football team, St. Mirren.
