The very limited draught selection on sale here featured only Tennent's lager, Strongbow cider and Caledonia Best. Unusually for any pub in Scotland, there was no draught Guinness and I was offered a can instead. I initially opted for a pint of draught Best instead of that, but it ran out halfway through pouring. When the lone barman opened the hatch to climb down into the basement to change the barrel, I called him back and asked for the can of Guinnness, which cost me £3.00. Unsurprisingly perhaps, in view of the above, I was one of only three customers on the wet Saturday afternoon of my visit. This is actually quite a nice looking pub, and situated in a prime position close to Gourock railway station and ferry terminal, but it really needs to get its draught beer availability sorted out if it's to attract more custom.

Checked out Gourock's pubs yesterday. This is very much a locals pub. Decor was basic and had pictures, drawings and photos of events past like the Titanic. Also of rock & pop singers and groups like Queen, Status Quo and Elvis. Excellent background music playing of the 70's to the 90's. Belhaven Best was off but there was still Tennents lager & Strongbow cider. Well worth a visit :)
