David Ross left this review about Ormonds

A mural on an interior wall here depicts Willie Ormond, the late St. Johnstone and Scotland football manager who led Scotland to the 1974 World Cup finals, and whom the pub is presumably named after. The clientele comprised mostly male St. Johnstone fans on a Saturday night, lamenting their club's Scottish Cup defeat by Partick Thistle that afternoon. The three TVs were all showing football. The atmosphere was in no way intimidating or troublesome, however, and it's a perfectly decent pub. It consists of a long, narrow bar with a raised section at the far end which contains a pool table. There is also a beer garden at the back. Guinness was £3.30 a pint and Caledonia Best, McEwan's Export, Tennent's light, Tennent's and Carling lagers and Strongbow and Magner's ciders were all on draught.
