Will Larter left this review about Neidpath Inn

On the edge of town, this is a handsome building with two entrances. The one on the left leads through to the lounge at the rear, while the central door gives access to the main bar. This is a large room with dark wood and blue-painted walls, a handsome bar back and a very nice fireplace surround with small mirrors; a pool table takes up part of the right hand side. I complimented the owner on the bar back, and I gathered from his reply that he had done some work on restoring it since taking over. There are three hand pumps, the two beers on at the time of my visit being St Austell Tribute and Marstons 61 Deep. My Tribute was in good condition, but I'd have liked to see a local beer or two. Nevertheless I'd be happy to call back here next time I'm in Peebles.

A pub in the quieter end of Peebles. Keeps it away from the tourists. Real Ale on tap. Forgot their names. Will get on the next visit. A chief is availble for decent food and for standard pub grub. All in all an easier drinking place than High Street Peebles.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Neidpath Inn

A decent sort of pub on the western side of Peebles on the road leading to the impressive Niedpath Castle. Busy main bar at the front, with a quieter lounge behind and a dinning area at the back. Two real ales on, including a decent pint of Deuchars IPA.
