Steve C left this review about The Royal Oak

The Royal Oak is a tiny little pub that was full of blokes and their dogs watching Premier League football on a recent Sunday afternoon. To be honest it felt more like a social club and I found it difficult to settle, especially as there was nowhere to sit. The football was muted and the jukebox was playing some background music, which I found odd as the live sport is advertised and drink prices are reduced during live sporting events. Did I mention the dogs? They were everywhere, I reckon nearly everyone in the pub had a dog with them. The lack of anything to drink other than basic keg had me thinking that this place was more of a Crufts bar than a craft bar. Everyone seemed harmless enough, but I knocked back my half and was glad to leave.
