Now known simply as "The Woodcutter," this is a bright and airy modern lounge bar which is very different to the last time I called in (which was, admittedly, about 30 years ago!). There are lots of photos of New York on the walls, for some reason, and priced drinks menus on the tables, which include Tennents and Stella Artois lagers, Belhaven Export, Belhaven Best and Guinness, as well as various bottled beers, spirits, shots, wines, soft drinks and mixers. There is a small beer garden at the back.
