Unfortunately, the prospects of the Eagle ever re-opening as a pub again now appear remote. The current owner has put it on the market and possible options for the future now seem limited to conversion into a restaurant or demolition to make way for a housing development.

After all the recent closings and reopenings, the future of the whole building now seems to be in jeopardy, as it was damaged in the recent storms and demolition is now apparently being considered.

After having been closed for a couple of years, the Eagle re-opened recently but has now shut down again, with the doors and windows boarded up.

honest if your looking for a good pint and quite cheap may i add, come into the eagle inn new exciting things are happening, you can come in and have a meal delivered to you in our new beer garden, and our bands on a saturday night are superb why dont you visit our website just click the link below and find out whats going on by the way we also have a great band every sunday 6 to 8pm followed by a karaoke until midnight the eagle has finally come out of the dark ages, so pop in where the beer is cold and the hospitality is warm
