Everything here was much the same as noted below, except that the real ales on offer have changed. An excellent pint of Alston Ales "Golden Cocker" cost me £3.10, although I didn’t sample the other one, "Avondale." Belhaven Best, Guinness, Tennent’s and Stella Artois lagers and Magner’s Golden Draught cider are also on tap.

No significant changes here since I last popped in. The Wee Man is divided into two separate sections, both of which have the atmosphere and appearance of lounges. All of the customers were in the area where the bar service is and the other bit just acts as an overspill area when it’s busier. On the drinks front, there was one real ale, "Summer Dream," on offer and another hand pump which was not in use. Tennents and Stella Artois lagers, Guinness and Magners cider were also on draught.

A slightly out of the way pub, down a side street, just off Lanark High Street, The Wee Man is, in fact, of average size. It comprises a conjoined bar/lounge with a TV, a quiz machine and a juke box containing a good selection of '70s music, reflecting the age and tastes of most of the customers. There is also a small games room, behind the bar, with a pool table and dart board. It hosts occasional live music performances. One real ale, “Kelburn Pivo Estivo”, was on offer, and tasted fine, although most customers were drinking other things.
