The used to be called The Royal, which when it was on the go was a real going concern. As a disco it was the place to be. Another place when it is always busy has to shut down.

The given address is currently the headquarters of the Coatbridge Social Work Department and bears no mark of ever having been a pub. If it was, it certainly isn't now. The building in the photographs, however, might once have been, but is now occupied by a Tesco Express.
