A major refurbishment about 15 years ago transformed The Crown from a basic working man’s bar to a modern, couple friendly, bar/lounge. It has remained so, although the decor is looking a bit faded in places now. It’s the town’s best known "Rangers pub," although you wouldn’t really notice this except during big games, when it can be extremely busy. A pleasant but unexceptional town centre pub.
