I remember this from many years ago as “The Viking.” The basic structure is still the same as then, with the small, traditional style bar on the street corner and the larger lounge to its side. The lounge has been considerably spruced up since I was here last and is now more of a dining area, with children permitted. In the bar, a pint of Tennent’s lager cost me £2.95. Stella Artois, Carling lager, Belhaven Best, Tennent’s Ember and Guinness are also on tap.
