David Ross left this review about Stonefield Tavern

As soon as you come through the front door, it should be obvious that this is what is known, in the West of Scotland, as a “Rangers Pub.” Pictures of current and former players, of Ibrox Stadium and genuine, signed, replica jerseys give the game away immediately. On closer inspection, the mysterious words “Young Calvay Volunteers,” woven into the blue fabric of some of the seats confirm the position. More impressively, a football boot personally signed by former Rangers and England star Paul Gascoigne takes pride of place in a glass case on the wall. Despite the football theme, the all male clientele seemed more interested in horse racing than football on the afternoon I visited. The small outdoor seating area is more of a smoking zone than a beer garden and is unattractively located beside the busy main road. All in all, this is a rather rough pub, which is best avoided unless you’re a Rangers fan. The array of signed photos, jerseys and Gazza’s boot is, however, undoubtedly impressive, and, presumably, quite valuable.
