This is an old school shop conversion that retains the old blue and gold signage on the shop front which is elevated from the main road. Inside it's a split level room where the front doors were all open. The bar is on the left and a few steps lead to the rear eating area. I got here just before Beer O' Clock on a Thursday morning for breakfast. Near where I sat there was a table of Daytime Brigade representatives who all sounded like Rab C Nesbitt and I still have no idea what they were talking about.
The bar has ten hand pumps which had one available soon, one unused, Deuchars IPA, Abbot, Oakham JHB, Titanic Steerage, Adnam's Ghost Ship, Strathaven Clydesdale IPA, Brains SA and Exmoor Stag. I went for the Clydesdale IPA which was in good nick.
I quite liked this one and it's GBG 2017 listed.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sir John Stirling Maxwell (JD Wetherspoon)

Routine-looking 'spoons at the end of a parade of shops fronting the Shawlands shopping centre. Usual deal inside, with dark decor and a variety of furniture on two slightly different levels (including a few booths in each part). On the plus side, there was a pretty good selection of real ales from a total of ten handpumps, including two from Broughton: HOPopotamus 'craft hoppy pale' and an excellent IPA No 5 (£2.25).

Situated in the Shawlands area of Glasgow on a ramped pavement following a row of shops. This is a low ceilinged single roomed pub with the usual fixtures and fittings and the standard 2 banks of cask beers on show, with the Gunpowder MILD from the Coach House Brewing Co spot on.The bar is on your left on entry with a slightly raised area beyond the this area, plus a few testaments to John Maxwell and a circular stained glass thingy on the ceiling in the centre of the pub.
