I actually thought this had closed down when I approached it, due to the metal grilles on the windows and its generally derelict appearance. It's still open, though, although the interior decor looks as if it hasn't changed since the 1970s. The very basic, one room, L-shaped bar contains a pool table, games machines, a TV, a juke box and, surprisingly, a cigarette machine. Prices, at £2.90 for a pint of Tennents lager, were higher than I might have expected given the look of the place, but there's not a lot of competition in the village. Guinness, Tennent's Special and Magners cider are the only other things available on draught.
