The Dolphin is currently closed due to damage from the partial building collapse of the tenement above. It is intended to re-open it, however, when repairs have been completed.

Together with "The Smiddy" further along Dumbarton Road, this is known as one of the Celtic pubs of Partick and is appropriately decorated with green painted supporting pillars and pictures of the club's former manager Jock Stein and various players. There is an impressive array of whisky cases on the shelves, but a limited range of beers, with only Guinness (at £3.10 a pint), Tennents lager and Carling lager on draught. Being so small, it can become rather crowded, but there are plenty alternatives in the area.
