Bucking Fastard left this review about Clutha & Victoria Bar

Site of a terrible accident when a police helicopter fell from the sky onto the Clutha,it reopened after absorbing the next door Victoria Bar which still exists by entering the side door. This bar is tiny with a bench opposite a small bar with just a few standard kegs.An entrance to the Clutha has be opened at the end, this seperate section has a much larger curved marble bar with a wider range of keg beers and features a number from Drygate who seem to own the new entity. There is a conical metal roof to replace that lost in the tragedy.
There is a stage and live music virtually every night.Seating is modern wooden furniture ,and the windows are small and run just below the ceiling level giving this area a cosy ,cut off feel. It's walkable to Hampden from here ,so will be popular with footie fans on big match days.
My Drygate Seven Peaks Session IPA was reasonable but the keg gassyness would inhibit me from having a long session here. However it's a living testament to so many regulars who didn't come back for another one.

Change of name - the Clutha merged with the Victoria. It’s now called The Clutha & Victoria.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Clutha

This is where I tried my first pint of Tennant's lager, as there was no cask ale. I have to say it was ok, the staff were also friendly and chatty. This is a music venue pub and the main stage is situated in the back room, along with a large tree growing up from the middle of the room and out through the perspex roof.

Clutha is an old Scots name for the River Clyde, on whose banks the pub almost sits, being separated only by Clyde Street. One of Glasgow’s oldest pubs, in one of its oldest streets, it has been much modernised but retains a traditional atmosphere. It consists of a single bar room with a low beamed ceiling and wood panelled walls decorated with old photos of the city. It is best known as a folk music venue, but obviously doesn’t restrict itself to this genre as the juke box was playing modern rock music and a T. Rex tribute band was in the process of setting up. An excellent pint of Orkney Dark Island Ale cost me only £2.95 and Caledonia Best, Guinness, Magner’s cider and Tennent’s, Stella Artois and Estrella Damm lagers were also on draught. Food is served between 12.00 noon and 3.00 p.m. If the weather permits, it’s worth having a wander into the ancient looking, stone walled beer garden, which the Clutha appears to share with the adjacent Victoria Bar and Bistro. There are also a couple of tables on the street outside the front door.

One story corner place, with a black and white exterior. Also a music venue. Another open plan bar, wood panelled, with plenty of memorabilia on the walls and with a central bar area. Service is fine and people friendly. Musicians setting up during our swifty of a pint and you got the feel this was a dedicated music place that got busier later as the music started. Clientele was mixed. Beer; usual stuff on tap, with Belhaven Best and Cold; the best was fine. I liked it here, just the beer choice wasn’t great really. At least with Belhaven I am happy to visit again, but there are better drinks places.
