Steve C left this review about The Admiral

The small façade of the Admiral that sits behind a lone smoker’s bench hides a long and thin street level bar with underground club and music venue. The bar consists of a raised seating area under the front windows that faces a bar that runs down the left-hand wall. This bar faces high stools and a beer shelf that runs down the right-hand wall and at the rear are some standard tables and chairs that looked ideal for dining. I found the service to be polite and there was a healthy crowd in attendance for late on a Wednesday afternoon.
The bar is stocked with standard keg products and pub grub/pizzas are available from midday until 20:00. A takeaway service for pizza and burgers is available by phone or online.

The Hold, underground club, hosts club nights at the weekends and is available for hire for £50 during the week. The street level bar is open from 11:00 to midnight Monday thru Thursday, until 01:00 most Fridays and until midnight on Saturdays. The club closes at 03:00 and is inaccessible to wheelchair users.

This is the sort of bar I would visit if I got a sudden urge as I was passing, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
