Quite a plain interior as described below. 2 real ale taps 1 real ale available during my visit. Food served. Located a short walk from Murrayfield stadium.

In view of its name and proximity to Scotland’s international rugby ground, the absence of rugby memorabilia here is surprising. The walls are hung with posters advertising food deals, quiz nights, poker tournaments (every Thursday and Sunday) and forthcoming Sky Sports events, but nothing specifically rugby related. The single bar room is L-shaped with wood flooring and panelling on the sides of the bar itself and exposed heating pipes giving it a rather bare look. There are three large screen TVs, mostly showing sport and the toilets are downstairs in the basement. One real ale, Deuchars IPA, was on sale at £3.30 a pint. Tennents, Stella Artois, Carling and Staropramen lagers, Guinness, Belhaven Best, Caledonian 80 Shilling and Strongbow cider were also all on draught. The food menu is extensive and the Pakora and Pint for £5 seems like good value in view of the price of the beer. Convenient for rugby matches, but there are many far more interesting pubs in Edinburgh.
