Old Boots left this review about Hebrides Bar

A narrow place next door to the Doric which was shut, opposite the Edinburgh Dungeon and Waverley Station. The servery takes up half the left hand side with a drinking shelf opposite and a few tables and chairs at the far end and in the front window. Two pulls, two T-bars and a couple of solos. One cask from Greene King, kegs as expected, nowt exciting. It retains a basic but old interior with dark wood, board floor and big brewery mirror. There’s a basement I didn’t explore, possibly used for the advertised live music.

With a few minutes to spare until my train I went hunting for a pub within two minutes stroll of the station and came across this. Looks large from the outside but is in fact just one third of the building emblazoned with a sign saying ‘The Doric’. Inside is a small single room with sodium lightning, a jumbo Mackays mirror and 3D map of the Hebrides. Two pumps at the bar with Deuchars IPA being the only one on, an apply-tasting hell it was. I complained and got a reluctantly proffered replacement Guinness but I noticed that the Deuchards wasn’t taken off. Shame really, as the place definitely holds a bit of atmosphere.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Hebrides Bar

Small single-bar pub near the south end of Waverley Bridge that could be taken as being part of the adjacent Doric (indeed, the upper part of the latter spans across the Hebrides frontage). The interior is dark despite having windows at both ends of the room. Seating mostly comprises stools, but there are a few small tables towards the back. Live music advertised four nights a week. Deuchars IPA and Orkney Dark Island (£3.30) available from the two handpumps.
