This was another swift thirst quencher as passing by. Friendly staff and the lounge was comfortable, Will call again when in the area.

2 roomed pub on traffic island and opposite a shopping outlet village. Its very standard pub decor, 2 roome, though we were told the lounge is for diners only so the back bar is the drinking area but is mainly taken up with a pool table and dart board making it awkward for drinkers. There is some bench seating outside adjoining the island.

Very little choice of pub in this area and this one seems to be trying to cope with the locals and the weeding parties/tourists and sadly its too much and doesn't work. The space causes conflicts (like trying to reach the bar, or sitting next to a pool game. Add to this the lack of quality drinks (incl no real ale) and probably the most unwelcoming barman you will ever find you get an experience you would not rush back to.

Used this pub for a few weekday evening pints whilst in area

No longer for sale [or at least no signs as such]

Much as Soup Dragon describes, but we used the Lounge as it was quieter & we wanted to chat.
The lounge is mainly set out for eating and was very quite, but it was weekday evening, maybe it gets more custom at weekends?

Very unlikely to return, not because of pub, but I was on holiday 400 miles from home

A large detached white rendered and black beamed pub, with beer garden, situated on a roundabout.

The interior had a couple of rooms. The lounge i did not see and only popped into the L-shaped bar to get a pee and a quick pint! The room had wood panel and undressed brick walls, with a white ceiling and had a dartboard and a pool table up on a raised area. There were a few general pictures and bits of ephemera dotted about. There was a TV behind the bar showing the snooker and there was no music as i ordered my drink and then promptly cleared off out into the beer garden. The service was fine and the place seemed busy enough with a local clientele - maybe in for the Celtic v Rangers match.

Beer; no real ale. Basic keg choice including; Stella, Boddingtons, Guinness and Blackthorn Cider - had the cider for a change and it was fine.

A disappointment in many ways - i hoped for a better beer choice for such a tourist area, but it was busy enough - though it is up for sale.
