One room place with seats to left and the bar at the right rear. Couple of TVs. Usual keg rubbish on sale.

I normally give a few lines to the exterior of a pub at this point, but here there isn't one as such! Entry is via a passage off the High St to the pub behind, where it says established 1620 - or at the back of the pub where there is a patio.

The interior has a couple of rooms a narrow bar and a wider lounge behind. The decor was red and white with some green and wood panel, as well as a white ceiling. In the lounge there were images of Burns and old record covers on the walls and musical instruments; violin, guitar and an accordion on show. There were plenty of TVs showing football and the music was soft and seemingly 60s in style. They did food, but i didn't eat. There were families here but the place was humming with a large mixed crowd all in their appropriate colours as Rangers and Celtic had just drew - all good atured though. The service was fine.

Beer; McEwans 60/-, 70/- and 80/- plaus general keg drinks. The 60/- (light - a MILD) was fine.

I liked this place. It had a good atmosphere with the footy and a range of 'shillings', even if keg. I would happily go back.
