Dated but well stocked bar, do not be put off by external view. Friendly staff and punters. We were drawn in by the music and spent a great night of dancing and karaoke.

David Ross left this review about Macaulays

Consisting of a basic, traditional style, L-shaped one room bar, McAulay's is straight across the road from Largs railway station. It has wood panelled walls with padded seating around them, supplemented by chairs at tables and bar stools. Guinness was £3.20 a pint and McEwan's Export, Belhaven Best, Tennent's, Carling and Stella Artois lagers and Strongbow cider were also on draught. The single hand pump was, unfortunately, devoid of real ale. The customers were mainly middle-aged, with age appropriate music on the juke box and one TV screen.
