David Ross left this review about Mac Clures Bar

This was a most unexpected find on my tour of Dunoon pubs. Judging by the frontage, I assumed it was going to be just another run-of-the-mill bar. The interior, though, is beautiful, with an ornate red and white painted ceiling perfectly complemented by maroon padded seating and lots of wood around the service and customer areas. Low level music and a couple of TVs with the volume muted don't detract from the olde worlde ambience. McEwan's Export was £3.10 for a pint and Tennent's and Foster's lagers, Tennent's Special, Belhaven Best and Guinness were also on draught. Given what an attractive pub this is and the fact that it was a Friday night, there were surprisingly few customers, but MacClures is definitely worth a visit by anyone who appreciates good pub interiors.
