David Ross left this review about The Commercial Bar

Although the sign outside says "Commercial Bar and Lounge," the pub consists of a single room, with a small recess containing slightly plusher seating which might just be regarded as a lounge. Service is from a single counter stretching the length of a side wall and a pint of Caledonian 80 Shilling from there cost me the reasonable price of £3. Also on draught are Caledonia Best, Tartan Special, John Smith's, Guinness, Tennent's and Foster's lagers and Strongbow and Magner's ciders. This is a traditional style Scottish pub with a pool table, two dart boards, a TV and a juke box. A couple of locals also asked me if I would mind moving seat as, unbeknown to me, I was occupying the "dominoes table." It was busy, lively and friendly on the Friday night I came in and, although nothing special, is worth a visit if you're in the area.
