this now appears to be called 'Barefoot At The Beach'. it's the kind of place that I would consider a typical Newquay drinking hole. with a prime view over the main beach, this massive building is a cornerstone of the nightlife here. it's yet another of those 'all day venues' that morphs from a cafe to a bar to a nightclub as the hours go by. it does food as well. a modern trendy anti-pub but to my surprise it does have two hand pumps. one turned around and the other serving an obscure local beer called 'Doom Bar'

Seems to be called just The Chy. No real ale. Modern interior, metal bar. Pregnant barmaid was discussing cravings with a pregnant customer and the tall barmen ignores you if a young woman comes to the bar, even if you were there first. Not worth the trouble.
