This is a large detached pub and eatery that also does accommodation with a patio area and a great view of the river. The building has a three parts and is all in a clay coloured render that has been scarred. The central building has a clipped gable roof and looks in Georgian style, with its sash windowns. There are lover level buildings either side - the one is a modern extension, which has large glass windows and has become the main bar room; the other side is in the same Georgian style with a verandah.

The interior has two rooms. The main bar room is to the left on entry. The decor here is a coffee wood panel and cream walls, with a wood ceiling and a stone floor. There is a DJ area at the end for their karaoke nights etc. There are high stools and tables along with a few seats and a TV wa son also at the end of the room - the room seemed mainly a drinking area. To the right on entry, down a few steps is a lounge set-up more for dining, although it does have a pool table and dart board. It has cream walls, green carpet and a grey and beam ceiling. The chairs are green too. There is a model ship. I found the service friendly. The clientele consisted of a couple of locals at the bar when i first popped in to a lively younger clientele at night, but with families eating too.

Beer; the usual tap stuff with St Austell Tribute and Sharpe's Doombar on handpull, a common enough choice locally, so i ahd a refreshing cider instead (sadly i didn't note what make)

A place that tries to cover all aspects from sports bar to dining. One to pop in for one i think, but seemed perfectly alright.
