This pub has re-opened and its looks really good inside- a mixture of classic and contemporary which works really well. Great atmosphere and welcome. Also it has a big car park and is a good base to go from for a walk/cycle or as a stop off on a drive. Enjoyed our visit- really recommend it .

I ended up lost around this area and came across this pub. The landlady and her family were fantastic, kind, friendly and hospitable. I had a meal there which was great and the landlady, Rhianedd kindly loaned me the use of a caravan for the night, free of charge. How kind! I cannot recommend dropping in this pub enough, not only for the brilliant hospitality but it's a great place to begin various walks too, especially since you can leave your car on their car park for a small fee. The pub has been restored and is steeped in fascinating history and Rhianedd and her family plan to make further developments regarding possible camping sites etc so keep your eyes posted: this will be a great place to base yourself for visits to the mountains, hills and surrounding beautiful landscape. A pleasure to end up lost there! I will be returning. Kind regards to the wonderful landlady and her wonderful family.

The Tafarn has recently been opened after having alot of work carried out on it. It still has it own character inside, the beer is nice and there is a large carpark that belongs to the Tarfarn on the opposite side of the road, it is warm and welcoming and soon they will start serving food.
