Quinno _ left this review about The Globe Inn

Locals pub with comedy sign. Bit of a mess inside, three rooms with two off an entrance porch and there’s the feel of at least two refurbs that didn’t get finished. The lounge on the right was closed so off to the left we went. Dark blue velveteen banquette seating, slab flooring and exposed brick. What looked like it should have been the main bar was dark and stacked with flight cases and free range eggs (!). Hidden off to the right was a small servery. Met by a friendly young barman, however no cask and little else of interest beyond keg Brains Dark so a pint of that sufficed. Scarlets on the telly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, which didn’t go down well. Ambience rather ruined by the awful tuneless thudding music coming from the pool and darts room opposite; some respite in the surprisingly well-done tiered rear garden area at least. Low prices though; £3.30 for my pint and a half pound beefburger for £4.50.
