Pleasant pub in residential area on top of the cliffs which offers an escape from the tourist area round the harbour. A wooden boat-shaped bar gives something of a nautical feel to what is otherwise a bit of a suburban local. Various parts set up for dining and a few tables outside. Four Cornish ales on pump; sampled the Tintagel Poldark which was fine.

This is a detached pub ensconced on a hill over-looking the bay and there is a patio at the front to enjoy the view. The pub is in white and has a front extension, giving a balcony level - so has a slight Mediterranean look. The interior has a single main room that is in white and wood panel, with a white artex and fake beam ceiling. Some shipwreck pictures adorned the walls - to stop you wanting to go for a swim and there is a pool table and dart board (although things may need t be moved in order to play!). There is a food area, but we didn't eat so can't comment on that. The service was good and it was quite busy, mainly with locals i think, one being a rather eccentric fisherman. Beer; usual tap stuff with Ansells Bitter. On handpull there was Brays Topsail (decent), Betty Stoggs and Chough's Blonde and Dark Raven. A nice friendly place with a slight 70s feel - wish i could have stopped longer. The 'Mad Fisherman' was a bonus.

A very friendly pub with an outside seating area overlooking the sea. Excellent Skinner's Figgy's was on offer and in tip-top condition. Well worth a climb up the hill!
