Called in as we had heard there was a beer festival starting on 22nd but as we called lunchtime it was not ready and due to start at 7pm. The casks were on stillage and were from breweries nationwide, so anyone going this weekend should have a good time. The breweries were well established ones and the beers the regular brews from those breweries. We were impressed with the clean tidy pub, so stayed for a beer or two and a reasonably priced bowl of chips. Two real ales, Brains SA Gold, and a Skinners, plus a cider from Skinners. Well kept beer and friendly staff.

The Copperhouse Inn has recently had a new landlord and landlady. They have decorated and brightened up the place and revampted the disgusting toilets. They have also removed the pool tables and darts board and have installed leater couches in the front bar which is now known as The Copper Lounge. There is still plenty of entertainment including a Jam session every sunday afternoon where anyone can get involved and also a new music night once a month featuring several local bands. They serve 2 real ales - one of them a Skinners one and also a real cider - very refreshing! At present food is only served at Sunday lunchtimes, but if this is anything to go by, when they start the full menu in the next few weeks it should be delicious
