Alan Winfield left this review about Star & Garter

The Star & Garter is a decent looking pub that is at the top end of the High Street.
Once inside there is a T shaped room with the bar to the front left, the floor is bare boarded, there is bench seating and chairs to the front and normal tables and chairs in the middle area, the rear area is set aside for diners, there is bench seating in bays here.
There are great views from the rear windows over Falmouth Harbour.
There were four real ales on the bar,we had a drink of Sharps Atlantic, which went down well, the other real ales were Driftwood Spar,Red River Rye and Sharps Star & Garter.
We thought this was a decent pub but a bit on the expensive side.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Star & Garter

A terraced Victorian looking pub with superb views across Falmouth harbour. The pub is a simple cream and red affair, with dormer windows and some nice glazed tiles. The room is actuallly a U-shape with the curved bar at the end, but off to the right side on entry. The room is in a coffee and cream colour scheme, with a brown carpet. There is an interesting collection of tea-pots (yes, i really said that - Mrs Soup gets through 90 cups a day) and there sea pictures and what look like 70s photos of local bands on the walls - and they hold regular music nights. The service was friendly and there was a family in, along with a local chap at the bar. They do food, but we didn't eat. There was no TV that i saw and the music was very soft and general. Beer; usual stuff with London Pride and a decent Rebel Black Rock Bitter on handpull and Skinner's Cornish Knocker on gravity. A really nice experience and i would happily return.

Clean and bright pub situated on a steepish hill a few hundred yards from the main square. There are excellent 180 degree views over Falmouth harbour, and seems to be quite popular with diners. There is no jukebox or discos but they do have occasional live music.Check out the 100's of teapots on shelves scattered around the pub.
