Old Boots left this review about The Whitehall

Very much a restaurant although you can just have a drink if you must, there is a pink sofa tucked away at one end for that sort of person, along with a couple of tall tables also used for dining. A big screen also graces this area. The rest of the gaff is a dining room with a square servery but only used on two faces. Two hand pulls with average beer from local brewery Cwrw Llyn as well as national kegs and no doubt some wine, being a restaurant the service is painfully slow. There’s a place in a yard next door called Y Bar, that may or may not be related.

Aqualung . left this review about Whitehall Hotel

Now badged as the Whitehall Bar and Bistro, this seems to be an old hotel that has been converted to a food orientated pub with late opening on Friday and Saturday nights. Inside it is a large L shaped room with a wooden floor. There is a spiral staircase on the right as you enter that I didn't look to see where it led. A soundtrack of Welsh folk music was playing in the background.
On the bar there are three hand pumps with only two in use but these had beers from the local Lleyn brewery, Brenin Enlli and Cwrw Glyndwr (£3.30) both in very good condition. Prices are a bit high for the area especially compared to the nearby Spoons but for those who can't stand them this may be the best alternative in Pwllheli.
