A simply furnished village pub. Food is obviously an attraction, but The Lemon Arms retains an undeniably pub atmosphere, with a few locals on the bar stools. St Austell's regular keg selection is available along with 4 cask ales from the brewery (including Bath Gem).

I too was served by a chirpy barmaid, so service standards seem undiminished at this well-run pub.

Village local that didn't have the pretentiousness of other pubs in the area. It's a small single bar pub with 2 or 3 different seating areas. The right-hand side is slightly higher than the rest of the room, as the pub is set on a hill.

I received a warm welcome from the chirpy barmaid. I assume this is a St Austell tied pub, as the regular ales (Tribute & Proper Job) were joined by Hicks & Anthem. I'd not tried the Anthem before and found it to be very enjoyable indeed.

Most people appeared to be in for the food. Although there was at least one other drinker sat at the bar.

I won't stretch to the previous average of 9/10, but will score this a very creditable 7/10 as it was certainly one of the better pubs I visited on a day out in Cornwall.

Fully agree with earlier reviews, this is an outstandingly good pub which fully merits the 9/10 average. On draft were Proper Job and Tribute, both in perfect condition, and Bath Gem which we didn’t try. Hicks had just gone off, which was a shame. The staff and locals were most welcoming and it was a really good atmosphere. Good food, at reasonable prices rounded off the pleasure. I could definitely squeeze a few more in here.

A smart pub, with a nice large bar and a couple of separate areas leading off. Nice traditional furnishings and well looked-after; you can pick up the feel of a well-kept pub immediately. Beers from St Austell in excellent form (Cask Marque accreditation) and the locally-sourced food is excellent, including fresh seafood. Outside there is a patio area. Darts and pool may not be available when busy with food. An excellent village pub.
