Jacob's Ladder is a backstreet local several streets up (and I do mean up) from the centre of Falmouth.

8 keg taps of various sorts are in one part of the bar (Offshore Pilsener, Rattler cider, Pravha and Verdant Lightbulb among them); walk through to find 3 handpumps, with Tribute, and a couple of Skinners. There's plenty of seating to be had.

Friendly enough, though you may have to tolerate a bit of strong language.

The Jacobs Ladder is probably named after the steep flight of steps it is opposite,Jacobs Ladder.
The pub looked quite smart from the outside with some nice hanging baskets.
Once inside it is not so nice, there is a square shaped room to the left with the bar on the left side, the floor is bare boarded, there are normal tables and chairs and small stools, there is a small room through an opened out doorway to the front right, there are settees in this room, the is another room to the rear right which is up one step, there is a pool table and normal tables and chairs in this room, plus a large screen showing sky sports football updates.
There was one real ale on the bar, which was Doom Bar,this was a decent enough drink.
The pub hosts live music, which is probably why it looks a bit on the scruffy side.

As we were leaving, a member of staff told us to clean up after someone else's mess. He assumed it was ours because we were in the same group. The group consisted of about 20 people we did not know. If he had asked us about the mess, I would not be upset. Instead, he shoved a dustpan and broom at us and told us to sweep. We did clean the mess up, because we did not want a fuss, but I will not be going back. Cleaning up after other people's mess is not my idea of a good night.
