Well described by Soupy below, this place seems to be stuck in a time warp. It is like stepping back into the 70's. No ale so I made do with a quick Worthington. Friendly service.

This is a cottage styled pub in browny pebble dash, with front and back patio areas. Plain, it is said at the front to date to the 17th century - it is Victorian at least. The new windows and the pebble dash give it a rather subdued appearance. The interior is a bit like a 70s Working Mens' Club - which means I like it; wood panel decor, bench seating, old picture/prints and toby jugs. There are three rooms - one of which I didn't see. The bar, with dart board, is at the front. The lounge is at the back - with plates on the walls and a red carpet too! The TV wasn't on and there was no music. I had a good chat to the land-lady - very freindly and there were no other clientele. No real ale (although they get a summer guest) - usual taps - but i had Newcy Brown. I enjoyed my stop off here - just wish it did a regular real ale.
