Handily positioned opposite the bus stop to Newport - where the most frequent buses run if you are doing the coast path.
Getting served was a problem here - sat outside, we had to look for someone three times - getting told off by a surly member of bar staff.
Eventually the cleaner (we think) listened to our desperate plea that the bus leaves in 20 minutes and a drink after a grim 13 mile walk could make all the difference to our day.

Good village pub in one of the more out-of-the-way parts of the island. The building has been much extended, with a smaller bar at the front, leading down into a larger bar behind with several adjoining areas, mostly set up for eating. The interior is in good traditional pub style and well-kept however. At the back is a large and tidy beer garden, with children's play area. Beers on offer at time of visit were Abbot, Bass, 6x and EPA and seemed in very condition (Cask Marque listed). Various entertainments and special events were advertised.
