Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Crown Inn

Quiet village pub that is only open for drinkers at the moment. During our short visit, the friendly barmaid turned away 4 carloads of potential diners, which left just ourselves and 2 local drinkers. Although 2 or 3 others did arrive, by the time wel left.

The inside is a warren of rooms around a central bar. A patio at the side has a lovely trout stream, with some pretty large fish.

Fuggle-Dee-Dum & Ghost Ship were the 2 ales. Not really fulfilling its potential.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Crown Inn

A surprisingly large pub, with extensions well-merged in to the historic old building. A series of connected rooms are arranged round a central bar, all with something of an olde-worlde feel. The strong emphasis on food is not totally overwhelming, partly due to the layout and amount of space available, although the piano seems to be reduced to a condiment stand! Outside there are extensive gardens, including a duckpond and trout stream. Ales seemed to be mainly from Goddard's or Yates, along with Landlord and Sharp's Atlantic.
