Graham Coombs left this review about The Crispin

A good and well-run locals' pub at the top of the town, with a tiled floor and a number of nice 1930's features adding to the feel of the place. One of those pubs where you feel at home quite easily. Yates Islander and Sharp's Atlantic were on offer at time of visit and in excellent condition.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Crispin

Just on the edge of the town centre, this traditional no-nonsense pub features some Brewer's Tudorery on the façade and plenty of dark wood in the 'U'-shaped bar and side snug. Popular pool table and regular live music advertised. Doom Bar, Wickwar Falling Star and a decent pint of Upham Last Resort chestnut ale (£3.80).

Soup Dragon left this review about The Cask & Crispin

A black wood and white rendered terraced Tudor style pub, with central front facing gable, with beer garden

The interior is open plan, U shaped around a central bar and in white and wood. The rest of the décor had some modern touches; so arty pictures and twigs with lights on them. There was a bar area with Sky TV, pool table and dart board. The service was fine, the clientele few in number. The music was supplied by the radio, which was at a decent level and played mixed stuff.

Beer; tap stuff, with London Pride and a decent enough Sharpe’s Doombar on handpull.

The kind of place I am happy enough to stop off for one
