Harbwr Brewery-owned and GBG’22 listed though I had my doubts having visited their Saundersfoot branch and these were fulfilled – the large oblong room (blue shades and wood fittings) was laid out for eating and full of loud dogs and babies. Six of the brewery’s on cask, we tried Red Berry (NBSS 3.5) and Waterwitch (3) served-up by brusque staff who were clearly being weighed down by the tourist hoardes on a hot sunny day. Was happy to make my escape. I can see why it’s technically GBG but it isn’t somewhere I’d want to do anywhere near tourist season (plus I’m not a fan of their beers). From reading elsewhere it looks like the brewery tap (listed separately on PuG) is actually upstairs (I saw no signs, sadly) and maybe incorporating the garden area out the back?

Nice old building, locals crowd the bar are a bit which has limited space, but the building expands out a bit with the help of the heated beer garden. Good quality beer, backs on to the brewery

I came to this place via+ the rear entrance while trying to find the brewery tap which I must have passed by. This pub, the brewery tap and the brewery itself all seem to be the same building. Having not seen the main High Street exterior my impression was that this single open plan room may be a conversion from a shop or restaurant. At the rear right of this room is the corridor leading to a roof garden, the Brewery Tap and down a metal staircase to the Brewery itself.
The bar here has five hand pumps which had a cider and Harbwr Tenby Red Berry Bay, Sea Bass, Caldey Lollipop & RFA Sir Galahad. I went for the Red Berry Bay and Caldey Lollipop (£3.70) which were in good nick.
I quite liked it here and would liked to have found the brewery tap if in fact it was open. It's GBG 2019 listed.

Blackthorn _ left this review about Buccaneer Inn

An attractive looking pub in the heart of Tenby with plenty of hanging baskets outside to add to the appeal, it is, in fact, something of a disappointment when you get inside. There’s nothing especially wrong with it, but it’s all been opened out in to one room that has little in the way of any character, which seemed to jar somewhat with the impression given from the outside. It does however claim to have the sunniest beer garden in Tenby, although as were there on a late evening visit we did not check this out.

As mentioned, the interior is all one large, open-plan room with white plasterwork on the majority of the walls and some exposed stonework elsewhere along with a small fire-place. The ceiling too was white plasterwork, although some rather small black beams had been added to give some effect. A number of sports pictures were dotted around the walls, many relating to horse racing rather than the more usual football or rugby. A couple of plasma screens were up in the corner showing a BBC channel, although the volume was off so this was not too intrusive. Each table had a small vase of flowers on, but oddly these were all cleared away at 9:30pm. We did not study the menu but noticed a couple of blackboards, one listing a number of meat dishes and the other some fish options.

Beers on tap were Felinfoel Double Dragon, Rev James and Black Sheep Velo. A fourth pump appeared to have run out. Ciders meanwhile were Strongbow and a pleasant Weston’s Single Orchard Still.

Was surprised that me and the wife managed to get a table in here for a mother's day lunch this year as we had not booked, but surprisingly enough after speaking with who i think was the Landlady we managed to get a table, I would definately recommend this pub for lunch as after looking through the menu they seem to cater for all tastes, my wife and i had the traditional sunday lunch with the homeade gravy and to be perfectly honest this was bang on (the cheesy leaks were stunning) they also serve a cracking pint of Rev James

Steve of N21 left this review about Buccaneer Inn

The Buccaneer was recommended to me by the owner of the B&B we were staying in as a decent pub with good food and one of the best places for a pub meal in town. And with the exception of a slightly limited beer choice I would say he was spot on.
The Buccaneer Inn is a one roomed pub with a fairly plain wooden floored decor with plenty of tables for eating and its main focus is on meals. But this it does well and there is a varied selection of reasonably priced meals on the food menu, but the sea food is recommended and the Fish pie was very good. And if you visit in high season like we did it’s advisable to get here early as the pub was busy the whole time, both afternoon and evening.
There were three hand pumps on the bar but one was off leaving the usual Brains choice, but fortunately the Reverend James was a good pint.
So in conclusion, a good pub for food and there is a nice secluded beer garden out the back if all you want is a pint.
