Seems to have a bit of a historic rep locally as a cask pub. The |-| shaped interior has a bit of character but the panelling has been glooped light grey and there’s a feel of being a bit careworn. Like many pubs here there's an impressive rear garden. Company on my visit consisted of an uncontrolled Jack Russell and the Women's Euros. Three pumps at the bar, all clipped with Sharps but only a middling Atlantic (NBSS 2) actually on. I got a feeling someone’s stopped caring; I came across a smashed mirror in gents and overflowing ashtrays outside, whilst LQ reported tiles missing from ladies loos with ‘growth’ underneath. Based on this visit, I certainly wouldn’t recommend it.
