Quinno _ left this review about Old Cross Saws Inn

Recently painted a pleasingly vivid shade of blue on the outside and I therefore expected something a bit upmarket inside. I didn’t get it; this is an L shaped knocked-through place appealing to the youngsters, soaks and late-night topers. No cask available (I see after the event that WhatPub claims that you need to ask and a barrel is accessed…somewhere) and a fairly dull keg selection, so much so I tried the Sharps Cider. Filled rolls advertised for £2.50, alongside a meat raffle and bingo nights, as well as a free jukey which was causing much chatter due to the barmaid’s poor choices – I was invited to improve them by the locals. Of genuine surprise was that the corridor leading to the toilets ends at a rather fine tiered garden. One for the locals really but it’s not without its merits. 5.5
