Soup Dragon left this review about The Kings Arms

This is a detached pub, with patio. It has been a pub since at least the later Victorian period and the name would then perhaps suggest a somewhat earlier foundation. The place is in stone, with small windows and is attractive in its plainess. It is in the GBG. The interior is an L-shape and also in stone. A plethora of hanging jugs decorated the cream amd beam ceiling, while eclectic pictures, from sport to the local area, the walls. The place is part partitioned with a hearth/fireplace feature. There was a TV, with the footy on and no music. They do food. The service was really friendly, as were the locals - and i was chatted to by several - a nice Welsh lady with lovely eyes (sadly drinking bottles of Stella) was most memorable! Beer; usual tap stuff (and bottles of Stella) with three handpulls; Young's Special (which was fine) and two others London Pride and Doombar, i think, but a schoolboy error mean't i didn't note them. A really nice place to visit - really enjoyed my all too brief stop off.
