Quinno _ left this review about The Ship

Quite nice and traditional, there’s an entrance porch leading to a tight staple-shaped front with a dining room off the side. To the left is a large old fireplace with the pub name picked-out with rope. White and turquoise shades elsewhere. Four pumps with two on; Banks Bitter (way past best, NBSS 1.5) and Wye Valley Butty Bach (again, old and listless 1.5). Cheap at £3.50 for two halves though even then I felt short-changed. Board games and darts available. Could and should be the best pub in the village but fails by mismanagement of the cellar. A more clued-up publican could make this a GBG contender. Would have scored higher if the beer was passable.
