Everything you would want from a good pub is missing here but it gets busier each year even though it's by far the dearest around the immediate area, doesn't keep a great pint, doesn't smell very pleasant, has filthy toilets, has not got very good staff and who's regulars believe that drinking in it makes them tough.
You get two lagers, two smooth flows, Guinness and Strongbow with an optic shelf creaking with brightly coloured spirits that are drunk as quickly as possible to avoid tasting them.

Has a bit of a reputation around Aber, which is enough to scare off 99% of the students, which is just how the people who frequent the place like it. Nothing special beer-wise, just the usual low grade lager and high alcohol spirits. Sign outside claims real ale - it lies. One concession to taste is the recent appearence of Gwent-y-Ddraig cider in bottles. There's a pool table. It's a bit rough, really.
